If you so happen to have a worn M970 or other lower range Shimano cassette with slipping chain due to faulty Cogs of 16T-18T, this will be an ideal replacement or upgrade (as these are Titanium) as everyone has different cycling styles and habits resulting in a few cogs of the cassette being used more often than others. Instead of changing the entire cassette which is rather costly and 9-Speed cassettes are rather hard to come by nowadays or changing to 10 or 11 speed requires an entire change of group sets, you can opt to use these cogs to replace your worn ones, saving you thousands of your hard earned cash.
