In addition, the thickness of the friction ring has been increased from 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm compared to the SRAM Centerline discs. Thanks to these optimizations, the braking performance could be increased by 7% and in the Garda test the window temperature could be reduced by 40 degrees. Rounded edges on the top of the lens minimize the risk of injury and comply with the guidelines of the UCI World Cycling Association. Another advantage is that they make it easier to install the wheel, because the rounded top prevents it from tilting in the brake calliper. The discs are available with diameters of 160 - 220 millimeters. Thanks to their high stability, the HS2 brake discs are also ideally suited for E-MTB use.
