The DT Swiss RWS Skewer system takes the quick release in a whole new direction. Eliminating the use of a cam completely, DT Swiss has created a lever which is easy to use, stays engaged under load, and almost reinvents the quick release system. The RWS Skewer uses twist tight action to clamp the wheel into place, making this skewer like a screw. The lever can be lifted off of the splines and freely rotated to any position, making this skewer cleverly user friendly.
This skewer system provides up to 50% greater clamping force than a traditional quick release. With a titanium rod and a carbon fiber reinforced lever, this skewer is definitely one of the lighter skewers we carry. The finished product is an innovative skewer that is reliably tough and extremely lightweight.
