The sleek design of the new 105 pedals not only offers improved aerodynamics over the predecessor PD-R5800, it also pushes down the weight by 50 grams (per pair). The durable surfaces of the carbon-composite pedal body ensure a long durability. A widened to the previous version bearing surface of the cleats ensures optimal power transmission. Due to the complex sealing of the bearing in connection with the stainless nickel chrome steel axle , a very long service life of the pedals is achieved.
